THE French National Assembly imposed a 15-day suspension on far-right MP Grégoire de Furnas, who during yesterday’s sitting shouted “Go back to Africa” ​​at a black left-wing colleague who had asked a question about immigration.

The decision was unanimously adopted today by the Bureau of the National Assembly, whose president had interrupted the meeting yesterday after the disturbance caused by the “prompt” of Grégoire de Furnas.

The government and the left alliance called it an unacceptable, racist insult. The extreme right on the other hand argued that the MP Gregoire de Furnas it was not addressed to the ombudsman, Mr Carlos Martin Bilongo, but to migrants who are on a non-governmental organization ship and are looking for a “safe port” to disembark.

Grégoire de Fournas is a member of Marine Le Pen’s National Alarm and his party claimed he had said nothing wrong.
