Former basketball star Donte Green has been arrested for attempted robbery after he allegedly ordered an Indiana gas station clerk to “give him all the money” from the till last week.
The incident is believed to have taken place on November 8 at the Phillips 66 station in Goshen, Northern Indiana, about 30 miles east of South Bend, where the University of Notre Dame is located.
According to the South Bend Tribune, the clerk told police that Green told him to “give him all the money” before he got to the register.
Green ordered the clerk not to call the police, but workers at a nearby diner alerted authorities after allegedly seeing the former basketball star break into the gas station.
Green was once a promising basketball player.
The 34-year-old did not have a weapon and was not reported to have consumed alcohol at levels above the limit.
