CBS News is distancing itself from mogul Musk’s management of the popular social network
CBS has announced it is scaling back its Twitter activity amid fears of “uncertainty” surrounding Elon Musk’s management of the social media site, US media reports.
According to New York PostCBS News is one of the first major media outlets to leave Twitter after several of Musk’s critics threatened to leave the platform once the Tesla boss took over the company.
The major news network confirmed the move during the “CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell” on Friday.
The report began by mentioning the mass resignations of employees at twitter that followed Musk’s ultimatum.
In an attempt to streamline the company, the world’s richest man sent an email to all employees asking them to commit to an “extremely tough” work schedule or face the prospect of leaving the company.
The ultimatum caused a backlash, with some of Musk’s critics now calling Twitter “hell”.
The chaos that followed Musk’s email, as well as the vitriolic climate that has prevailed since Musk took the reins, did not sit well with CBS News.
