“No, the president (S. Putin) has already spoken about it,” Peskov said, answering a question from journalists
Russia’s ‘special military operation’ not aimed at changing current government in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman now claims Dmitry Peskov, according to TASS.
“No, the president (Putin) has already spoken about it,” Peskov said Monday, when asked by reporters if the change of power in Ukraine is one of the goals of what the Kremlin calls a “special operation.”
Commenting on his statements Volodymyr Zelensky that Russia does not seek negotiations with Kyiv, but to achieve a short-term cessation of hostilities, Peskov said that “Russia wants to achieve its goals and will achieve them.”
More than eight thousand three hundred civilians have lost their lives so far since the Russian army invaded the Ukrainian territory on February 24, the Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin announced yesterday in Kyiv.
Among them were 437 children, Mr Kostin said, according to the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.
