Eight carriages derail and crash into platform at Korai railway station – Three victims are women
At least three people were killed and four others were injured when a commercial train derailed at a railway station in the state of Odisha, a Railways spokesman said of India (Indian Railway). The three victims are women, he clarified.

The train accident occurred shortly before 7 am in the Jaipur district of Odisha state (eastern India). Eight carriages derailed and crashed into the platform of Korai railway station.
At least two dead after a goods train derailed and rammed into the station building at Koria station in the Bhadrak-Kapilas section of the East Coast Railway.

The derailment occurred when the driver braked sharply, the Indian Railway spokesperson noted.
India’s state-run railway company canceled several services and around 20 trains were diverted to other railway stations until the carriages were removed from the accident site.
