A 22-year-old Oklahoma teacher’s aide has been arrested on charges of having sex with a student just two weeks after she was hired, according to a New York Post report.
Ashley Waffle, interim teacher’s assistant at Granite Public Schools, started work on October 10. A few days later, on October 25, he began messaging a 16-year-old via Snapchat.
According to the reports, school officials notified the police about a rumored relationship between the student and the teacher.
Court documents say Waffle met with the student twice at her apartment before Nov. 9.
Waffle was fired on Nov. 10 and now faces two counts of second-degree rape that could land her in prison for up to 15 years.
He is currently being held in the Greer County Jail.
