Filmmaker and actress Soheila Golestani and filmmaker Hamid Pourazari were arrested, the Human Rights Activists News Agency reported, without knowing in which prison they are being held.

The Iranian authorities arrested two of the Iranian actors who took part in the video, which went viral, showing a group of Iranian artists, without headscarves, expressing their support for the protest movement that has rocked Iran since September.

Filmmaker and actress Soheila Golestani and filmmaker Hamid Pourazari were arrested, the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency said.

The organization does not know which prison they are being held in, but the two were reportedly arrested late last night while Iran’s national soccer team was playing the USA team in the World Cup.

In the video posted on Sunday, Soheila Golestani walks through a park, dressed in black and bareheaded, stops at the base of a staircase and looks into the camera to be followed by nine other women and five men who strike the same pose.

According to the Iran Wire website, they are all actors.

The video is the latest act by Iranian actors defying the Iranian regime and supporting the protest movement. Among the Iranian artists resisting the regime by removing the headscarf is the actress Taranah Alidoosti, who has said she wants to stay “at all costs” in Iran.

Two more famous actresses, Hengameh Ghaziani and Katayoun Riahi, were arrested for supporting the protest movement, only to be released on bail, according to press reports.
