“I want to warn the citizens that according to information from the security services, terrorist attacks may take place in the coming weeks,” says the Serbian Foreign Minister

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic advised citizens to avoid traveling to Turkey and especially to Ankara, warning of the possibility of terrorist attacks.

“I want to warn the citizens that according to information from the security services, terrorist attacks may take place in the coming weeks. The specific information concerns the capital of Turkey, Ankara,” Dacic told the Tanjug news agency. He added that the risk of terrorist attacks also applies to other regions of Turkey.

Ivica Dacic also advised citizens already in Turkey to avoid parts of the city that could be targeted by terrorists. “Our citizens who are already there should avoid crowded public places such as pedestrian streets, metro stations, bus and train stations and other crowded places,” Dacic pointed out. He stated that this warning has nothing to do with Turkey itself, with which – as he said – Serbia has friendly relations, but it is his obligation to share this type of information from the security services with the citizens.
