US: Former Marine charged with illegally exporting defense services to China

Edmund Duggan is facing four charges

Former US Marine pilot Daniel Edmund Duggan, who has been arrested in Australia, faces charges of illegally exporting defense services to China and violating US arms export control laws, according to a 2017 indictment released from a district court in Washington.

The District of Columbia District Court released the indictment on Friday, as well as a warrant for Duggan’s arrest, as he is understood to have been arrested.

Duggan faces four counts including conspiracy to defraud the United States by conspiring to illegally export defense services to China, violating arms export control laws and international arms trafficking regulations, while he is also charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering.
