Ukraine: At least two dead from today’s Russian missile attacks

At least two people were killed and five were injured in Russian missile attack in a residential building in Kryvyi Rih in southern Ukraine, local governor Valentyn Reznichenko announced.

“Russian missile hit a residential building. Two people were killed,” the governor announced via Telegram.

“At least five people were injured, including two children. Everyone is in the hospital,” he added.

Russian attack – The sirens sounded early

Russia launched new missile attacks against Ukraine today, with air defense sirens sounding across the country, including Kiev, Ukrainian officials said.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital.

In Kharkiv, eastern Ukraine, the local governor noted that critical infrastructure was damaged by the shelling. For its part, the energy supply company Oblenegro pointed out that electricity has been completely cut off in Kharkiv.

In Odessa, on the Black Sea, the Russian missile attack damaged important infrastructure, according to the local governor.

The regional governor of Sumy province, Dmytro Zhivitskyi, spoke of temporary power outages in the region, while his counterpart in Kriviy Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, said the province had been targeted by shelling.
