During the presentation of Russia’s military plans, Vladimir Putin said his country would fulfill all goals in what Moscow itself calls a “military campaign” in Ukraine and promised to give the armed forces whatever they ask for to provide them with support.
He also accused NATO of using all its forces against Russia and urged military leaders to use the experience gained in the battles in Syria and Ukraine.
He also said that Russia is focusing on the importance of drones in the war in Ukraine, adding that Russia’s Sarmat hypersonic missile – codenamed “Satan II” – will be ready to be deployed in the near future.
Battlefield casualties in Ukraine are a ‘common tragedy’
At the same time, the Russian president stated that the losses on the battlefield in Ukraine are “a common tragedy” and how she continues to consider him Ukrainian people “brother nation” despite Moscow’s “special military operation” in Ukraine.
Putin has argued that Russia’s enemies want to see it disintegrate and repeated the claim that Russia was forced to take military action in Ukraine because of what he called Western “provocations,” a position that Kyiv and the West reject as false.
“What is happening is certainly a tragedy. A common tragedy. But it is not the result of our own policy, it is the result of the policy of third countries,” Putin said at a meeting of the heads of the Russian armed forces.
The Russian president also argued that Russia would achieve the goals of its “special military operation” in Ukraine without harming the economy by militarizing it.
According to Putin, Russia will steadily and calmly improve its military forces without undermining the quality of social services for the Russian people.
