Alexei Navalny’s team released an investigation into the family of Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov, who is in charge of the construction ministry.
According to the investigation, Ivanov and his wife Svetlana spent more than one million euros on their vacation, allocating this amount to rent villas and yachts, buy expensive jewelry and clothes, while the bills of the deputy minister were paid by a company dealing with with the reconstruction of the Ukrainian city of Mariupol destroyed during the war.
According to Navalny’s associates, who studied the e-mail that fell into their hands of Svetlana Ivanova, in 2018 the family of the Deputy Minister of Defense spent at least 850,000 euros just to rent mansions in the French resort of Saint Tropez.

Timur Ivanov has been the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia since 2016. Before assuming this position, he worked for four years under the administration of Sergei Shoigu, in the government of the Moscow region.
In October this year, the European Union imposed sanctions on the Russian Deputy Defense Minister. After that Ivanov filed for divorce from his wife, but Navalny’s team claims that the divorce was sham and the real reason was to avoid sanctions.
