The Court of Appeal turned Talamanca’s wristband restraints into an extension of pretrial detention – Pancheri’s case was postponed until January 17
In front of the Brussels Court of Appeal today were Mr Pier Antonio Pancheri and Nicolo Figa Talamancaas stated in an announcement by the federal prosecutor’s office, in which the initials of their names are written as in all the press releases that have been issued so far.
In particular, it is pointed out that “in the context of a wide-scale investigation by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office for an alleged criminal organization, corruption and money laundering, N.Φ-T. and PP appeared today before the Brussels Court of Appeal”.
“The use of an electronic bracelet imposed on N.F-T by the council was modified to a simple extension of pre-trial detention” it is noted, while as underlined in the announcement “at the request of the PP, the trial of his case was postponed to January 17 2023”.
The pre-trial council had initially decided on use of an electric bracelet for Mr. Talamanca. However, the prosecutor had appealed the decision.
“In the interest of the investigation, no further information will be released at this time. The press will be informed about the latest developments in this case through press releases”, concludes the Federal Prosecutor’s Office.
