The Russian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday Tuesday that it managed to inflict heavy blows on the Ukrainian army, mainly with artillery, in the hostilities on the fronts from Kherson (south) to Kharkiv (northeast), passing through the Donbass.
About 60 Ukrainian servicemen were “destroyed” in fighting around the Donetsk region (east), the ministry said, according to the state-run TASS news agency.
According to the same sources, in the neighboring Lugansk region, which together with Donetsk forms the Donbass, about 30 Ukrainian military personnel were killed in artillery strikes.
Kyiv has not commented.

The area of ​​the industrial city of Bakhmut, in the Donetsk region, has been a battleground for months. The two sides are involved in fighting especially around Kremnina, a small community north of Bahamut.
