Consul of Portugal in Rio de Janeiro is held hostage during robbery at the official residence

The Civil Police of Rio investigates an assault on the Portuguese consulate in the city. According to police, consul Luís Gaspar da Silva and his family were taken hostage by the robbers, who also invaded a neighboring residence.
