“Happy New Year! The year of our victory”, concluded the Ukrainian president in his message
2023 will be the year of “victory” in the war against Russia, the president of Ukraine said this evening Volodymyr Zelensky in his New Year message.
“Are you longing for faith and hope? These have been in the (Ukrainian) armed forces for a long time (…) Longing for light? This is inside all of us, even when there is no electricity,” the supply of which has been severely disrupted by massive Russian bombing, Zelensky told Telegram.
“Happy New Year! The year of our victory”, he concluded, calling on his countrymen to “work”, to “fight” and “help each other”.
In his own videotaped New Year’s message earlier today, the Russian president Vladimir Putin he said his country would never succumb to the West’s attempts to use Ukraine as a means to destroy Russia and that his country was fighting in Ukraine to protect the “motherland” and to ensure “true independence” for the her people.
