Yesterday Wednesday in a coordinated preventive approach given the developments in relation to the spread of COVID-19 in China EU member states agreed, according to a statement from the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The decisions were taken at a meeting of the integrated political crisis response (IPCR) with the participation of the member states and the Schengen associated countries.
According to announcement, it was agreed that Member States will recommend that all passengers on flights to and from China wear a medical mask or FFP2/N95/KN95 masks, as well as provide advice on health measures to inbound and outbound travelers from or to China.
Member States are also encouraged to introduce, for all passengers departing from China to Member States, the requirement for negative COVID-19 test to be received no later than 48 hours before departure.
