Earlier, Putin told Erdogan that Moscow was open to dialogue with Ukraine, but Kyiv would have to accept the loss of territory claimed by Russia.
A senior Ukrainian official reiterated today that the Kyiv rejects any peace agreement that would allow the Moscow to keep them Ukrainian lands which have been occupied by Russian forces.
Earlier, according to the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin told his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan that Moscow was open to dialogue with Ukraine, but Kyiv would have to accept the loss of territory claimed by Russia.
“Axiom: why will it be impossible to reach an agreement with the Russian Federation?” Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podoliak wrote on Twitter.
“The Russian Federation (Putin) with the word ‘talks’ proposes to Ukraine and the world to recognize ‘its right to occupy foreign territories’ and ‘establish the absence of legal consequences for mass killings on foreign soil.’ It is absolutely unacceptable,” he added.
