A few hours earlier, the Russian president “was ready to bomb hospitals, nurseries and churches”, commented the American president.

Commenting on the first unilateral truce declared by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24, Biden, following a journalist’s question, recalled that just a few hours earlier the Russian president “was ready to bomb hospitals, nurseries and churches” .
The Kremlin said earlier today that President Putin had ordered a ceasefire from midday on Friday in response to a call for a Christmas truce by Moscow Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Kyiv then rejected Putin’s proposal, stressing that there will be no truce until it withdraws Russian troops from occupied Ukrainian territories.
“First. Ukraine does not attack foreign soil and does not kill civilians. As does Russian power. Ukraine only destroys members of the occupation army on its territory… Second. The Russian Federation must leave the occupied territories – only then will there be a ‘temporary truce’. hold the hypocrisy for yourself,” the presidential advisor Michailos Podoliak wrote characteristically on Twitter.
