The question that many think but no journalist would ever ask the president of the French republic dared to ask a young person on the autism spectrum.
Emmanuel Macron recently visited a newspaper founded by a care center for young people on the autism spectrum, La Papotin.
In a humane, friendly atmosphere, one of the newspaper’s “informal journalists” gave the French president a piece of paper with the question – his observation: He is the president. He should set an example and not marry his teacher.” Macron read the “awkward” question aloud, causing laughter in the room and even dared to answer.
“First, you don’t choose who you fall in love with. When you’re in love, the choice is not yours.” He was also quick to “clarify” that Brigitte “wasn’t exactly my teacher. She was my acting teacher. It’s not exactly the same, she wasn’t – for example – the math teacher.”
