Bolsonaros camped outside the Brazilian Pentagon, demanding the ouster of President Lula
In a symbolic move, military forces in Brazil dismantled the Bolsonaro camps outside the Brazilian Pentagon, in capital Brasilia, and demanded the overthrow of President Lula.
The Brazilian president and the heads of Congress and the Supreme Court issued a joint statement describing Sunday’s riots in Brasilia as “terrorist actions”.

“The forces of the Republic reject them terrorist acts of vandalism by criminals and coup plotters that took place yesterday afternoon in Brasilia,” reads the statement signed by Lula and the heads of Congress and the Supreme Court.
The joint statement also stressed that Brazil needs “normalcy, respect and work” while society is called on to maintain calm.
At least 1,500 extremists Bolsonaro supporters were earlier arrested by Brazilian authorities in the shadow of Sunday’s riots with the occupation of government buildings.
They were driven by armed police officers to Federal Police headquarters in dozens of buses during a major operation.
Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes ordered the break-up of protestors encamped outside army headquarters in Brasilia and other locations across the country.

In addition to the ongoing investigations into the incidents and their “masterminds”, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security also created the e-mail [email protected] to receive information about possible terrorist attacks.
Carrying Brazilian flags and wearing clothes in the colors of the Brazilian flag, more than 3,000 Bolsonaro supporters stormed government buildings, causing extensive damage.
