The Ukrainian president underlines that the fighting in the wider area of Solendar continues with unabated intensity
The head of the Russian mercenary organization Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin insists today that his forces “have release fully’ the city Solenarin eastern Ukrainesince they killed about 500 Ukrainian soldiers in the preceding battles.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky categorically denies Wagner’s claims and emphasizes that the fighting in the wider area of Solendar continues with unabated intensity.
“The terrorist state and its propagandists are trying to mislead, claiming that part of our city, Soledar, is under Russian control. However, the fighting continues. The Donetsk front is holding fast,” the Ukrainian president said in a video message.
The general staff of the National Defense of Ukraine says in a statement that Russian forces suffered heavy losses in their attempt to capture the city of Soletar and cut off the supply routes of Ukrainian troops.
