“I would like to appeal to the Russians who even now have not even a few words of condemnation for this horror, although they see and understand everything”
Dozens of residents remain missing – effectively buried – under the rubble of the apartment building in Dnipro, which was hit by a Russian missile on Saturday afternoon.
True synergy continued until last night to search for more than 30 people trapped in the mass of debris that remained from the apartment building, while the searches continue today.
Today with the last official count, the victims had reached 29 last night, while 73 people were missing.
The city’s mayor said there was “little” chance of more survivors being pulled out. “God help us find enough of them. I think the death toll will be dozens.”
Ukrainian President Zelensky pledged that “the rescue operation will continue as long as there is even the slightest chance of saving a life.”
Zelensky also addressed – in Russian – the citizens of Russia in his speech:
“I would like to address the Russians who even now have not a single word of condemnation for this horror, although they see and understand everything perfectly clearly. Being silent because you’re a coward will result in these terrorists coming for you one day.”
