US President Joe Biden will visit the areas affected by the floods in California the day after tomorrow Thursday, the White House announced yesterday Monday.
Mr. Biden will visit “communities affected by disasters due to recent storms, review rebuilding efforts and assess (the need for) additional federal assistance,” the US presidency said in a statement.
Nine consecutive storms that have battered California since Dec. 26 have killed at least 20 people, while tens of thousands of state residents are still under evacuation orders, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced as he signed an executive order strengthening the reaction of the state authorities.
