Another negative record of confirmed daily coronavirus cases was recorded by the United Kingdom on Thursday, with 119,789.
The new report for the last 24 hours is the second with more than 100 thousand cases after 106,122 on Wednesday.
On a rolling seven-day basis, the cases are increased by 53.3%, confirming the prognosis of the previous period for an increase of infections, mainly from the Omicron variant.
The cases of the new variant that were confirmed in the 24 hour period are 16,817, bringing their total number to 90,906. As of Wednesday, 13,106 Omicron cases had been confirmed.
The deaths of coronavirus carriers confirmed in the last 24 hours are 147. On a seven-day rolling basis, the deaths are reduced by 2.4%.
On the vaccination front, booster and third installments have exceeded 31.6 million, accounting for 55.1% of the population aged 12 and over.
The second installment has been made by 82.1% of citizens aged 12 and over and the first installment by 89.8%.
