Five governors of Ukraine’s regions and four deputy ministers of the Ukrainian government have been relieved of their duties by order of President Volodymyr Zelensky, amid sweeping changes in the Ukrainian government following a corruption scandal in the military as the country faces a Russian invasion.
According to Taras Melnychuk, the representative of the Ukrainian government in the Parliament, the governors of the regions of Dnipropetrovsk (central Ukraine), Kyiv, Sumy (northern Ukraine), Zaporizhia and Kherson (southern Ukraine) are being removed from their posts.
The Deputy Minister of Defense, the Deputy Minister of Social Policy and two Deputy Ministers of Regional Development were also removed from their duties.
