The “calm nature” of the mobilization explains the high percentage of French – 63% – who hold Macron and his government responsible for the current conflict, said OpinionWay’s vice president

61% of French people reportedly approve of the mobilization against pension reform, according to a poll by OpinionWay made on behalf of the newspaper “Les Echos” and Radio Classique.

As noted, the fact that from 58% at the beginning of the month reached 66% on January 12 and today at 61%, shows that, “behind the successful mobilization of January 19 there was a very strong consensus of public opinion” . In the opinion of the polling company’s vice president Bruno Zabar “one of the challenges next Tuesday and then in the coming days and weeks will be that of momentum: that is, if the movement is still as strong or even rising.”

Also according to Zabar , the “calm nature” of the mobilization explains the high percentage of French – 63% – who hold Macron and his government responsible for the current conflict. He also continues, despite the government’s statements about a reform that would give special importance to women, more and more of them support the mobilization movement, with the result that, from 62% on January 12, their percentage is today at 69% .
