The leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) started by announcing that he would call the Turkish presidency and tell outgoing Erdogan officials “I, Kemal am coming!”, effectively anointing himself the opposition’s presidential candidate. The line comes from an old movie, in which the hero was threatening the mobsters (0:38 in the video).
“The day after the election the phones will ring with pain. On the other end of the line they will hear a voice that will say “I’m Kemal, I’m coming,” said Kemal Kilicdaroglu characteristically.
Kilicdaroglu’s statement referred to a scene from an old Turkish movie
“You are welcome! I Abbas”
