Half a million residents of Odessa have been left without power due to a “major” accident at a power substation in the region, in southern Ukraine.
Ukrainian colonel Maksym Marchenko wrote on Telegram: “A serious accident occurred at one of the energy facilities of NPC Ukrenergo, which caused a fire. Because of this, the Odessa region and the city of Odessa are almost entirely without power. So far, almost 500,000 residents have no electricity.”
