The earthquake in Turkey was felt as far as Iraq – Zakharova uploaded a video from Baghdad

Delegation headed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov makes an official visit to Baghdad

The representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova reported that another earthquake was felt in Baghdad, where a delegation led by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is on an official visit.

“An earthquake was felt again in Baghdad,” the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman wrote on her Telegram channel. The diplomat posted a video, noting that “the earthquake that happened during the day in Baghdad shook the balance of the heavy chandeliers in the administrative buildings”, it is probably the strongest earthquake of 7.7 Richter that occurred at 12.15 (Greece time) in Turkey .

The Shafaq News website also revealed that residents of Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, felt tremors on Monday. According to the news portal, the earthquake occurred at 1:30 p.m. local time (the same time in Moscow).

So far there have been no reports of casualties or property damage in Iraq.
