Relief for Panathinaikos with Gudaitis’ injury, with Walters out and Papagianni and Ponitka out of the program
Good news for Panathinaikos from the injured front.
In the defeat to Valencia, Arturas Gudaitis picked up a finger injury, but the results of his tests did not show anything too serious.
In particular, the Lithuanian center has been confirmed to have suffered a rupture of the extensor tendon in the little finger of his left hand, however, there is no bone damage. So, Gudaitis’ hand was fitted with a special brace so he could train and play.
From there, the other good news came from Giorgos Papagiannis and Mateus Ponitkas, who took part of the regular program. The international center was left out of the “bats” match, due to hamstring problems. The Polish guard/forward is on the final stretch of his comeback from the sprain he suffered a few days ago.
Finally, with regard to Nate Walters, who was hospitalized due to a viral infection on the eve of the match with the Spanish team, he was discharged and was the only one absent from the program.
