Sozcu reports: “31,000 dead and not a single resignation” – Today the meeting of Nikos Panagiotopoulos with Hulusi Akar
Under the title “Efharisto poli file” the newspaper “Hurriyet” says its thanks to the Greek aid after the deadly earthquakes that hit the country last week.
As SKAI correspondent Manolis Kostidis reportsthe earthquake victims feel great gratitude towards the Greeks for the help they offered through EMAK, while at the same time the anger against the Turkish government is overflowing.
In fact, the newspaper Cumuriyet reports: “31 thousand dead, not a single resignation”, leaving spikes for Tayyip Erdogan’s government where, despite the disaster, no minister has yet resigned.
Finally, the newspaper Sozcu reports: “We failed because not even a crane can be used without Erdogan’s order” and cites statements from politicians who say “I went there on Erdogan’s order”, “I did this on Erdogan’s order”.
“Don’t take me to a private hospital”
Shocking is the story described by Manolis Kostidis, of a woman, Emine, who was rescued after 138 under the rubble, was taken to the hospital to be given first aid and when she recovered, she said to the rescuers: “Thank you for helping me you saved but please don’t take me to a private hospital”. And she said this because she was afraid, even after all that, that they would charge her for services she couldn’t afford.
At the same time, Manolis Kostidis spoke about the rescues that stop, saying that where the work has stopped, the wish is that God will take their souls so that they will not be tortured anymore since there is no hope of being freed.
Now very hard decisions are being made about where the work will stop and the bulldozers will come in to collect the rubble.
Most people say we wait for our dead to bury them.
Erdoğan: The earthquake is a plan of fate
Meanwhile, Mr Tayyip Etogan in his visit to earthquake victims, he attributed the disaster to…fate, telling a woman: “What happened happened. These are in the plans of fate.”
From the side of Suleiman Soylu he said: “We had 7,300 thousand people in the disaster management center. It was impossible to manage such a large disaster.”
