The concession of any Ukrainian territory in a possible peace agreement with Russiaruled out the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the BBC.

Ukraine’s leader warned that the land concession would mean Russia could “keep claiming”.

He also added that a predicted spring offensive had already begun. “Russian attacks are already coming from different directions,” he told the television station. However, he said he believes his country’s forces can continue to resist Russia’s advance until they can launch a counterattack.

Zelensky repeated his appeals for more military aid from Western allies and emphasized that Western weapons will bring peace closer.

“Of course, modern weapons accelerate peace. Guns are the only language Russia understandssaid the president of Ukraine.

He also issued a warning to the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, saying “I hope that [η Λευκορωσία] will not participate [στον πόλεμο]. If it does, we will fight and survive.”
