The president of France Emmanuel Macron he assured his Ukrainian counterpart tonight Volodymyr Zelensky that he will support Kiev’s peace plan “on the international stage”, in a telephone conversation the two leaders had.

Macron reiterated his support the 10-point peace plan proposed by Zelensky and assured him that “he will support this initiative on the international stage, in the next diplomatic meetings”, announced the Elysee Palace.

The two presidents they also referred to the call made (on Friday, at the Munich Security Conference) to European partners and NATO for military reinforcement and support for Ukraine and its people.

Through Twitter, Zelensky welcomed “the continuation of his friendly dialogue” with Macron and confirmed that they discussed “the implementation of the peace plan”.

This communication came after the interview that Macron gave to three French media, in which he said that he wants Moscow’s “defeat” against Ukraine, but not the “crushing” of Russia.
