The Kremlin announced today that it is watching “carefully” US President Joe Biden’s visit to Ukraine and Poland, adding that his tour “will not influence” Russian politics.
The American president will discuss strengthening Poland’s security and increasing NATO’s presence today Joe Biden and its Polish counterpart Andrei Duda during their meeting today in Warsaw.
“We will discuss the security of the Polish state and alliance cooperation with the US, also in the framework of NATO, what we can do to make the eastern flank safer, including Poland,” said an adviser to Duda. “It’s no secret that we’re going to talk about increasing NATO’s presence and infrastructure.”

“Of course we watched (Biden’s visit to Ukraine yesterday) carefully and we are also watching today’s visit to Poland carefully,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Russian public television network Pervy Kanal.
According to Russia’s RIA news agency, the Kremlin spokesman also noted that Biden’s visit to Ukraine, which had not been announced, was “nothing extraordinary” for Russia.
