Terrible scenes unfolded at the time of the strong earthquake in eastern tajikistan, recalling the recent devastating earthquakes in Turkey.
According to the American Seismological Institute and the Euro-Mediterranean Institute, the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.8 Richter, while according to the local competent authority it was 7.2 Richter. In the footage of a video, a room can be seen shaking as if it were a berth of a ship in rough seas, while in China, a couple riding a motorbike can be seen falling and at the same time a building is collapsing.

China’s state television network CCTV placed its focus near the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region’s border with Tajikistan.
The sparsely populated area where the epicenter was located is surrounded by the imposing Pamir Mountains. About twenty minutes after the first tremor, a second one of magnitude 5 was recorded.
So far there is no information about casualties.
