“Everyone hurry to the shelter!” was the phrase that appeared on the TV screens (telegram channels publish a related video).
TV viewers in Moscow saw the broadcast of the program interrupted by a video that said there had been a hit, and through which people were advised to go to shelters and use anti-suffocation masks, writes the channel Ostorozno Moskva (“Watch out Moscow“)
A few hours earlier, a similar incident occurred in the city Yekaterinburg as reported by the local media E1.
Similar incidents have occurred in Russian regions in the past.
On February 28, regional radio stations and television channels broadcast an air raid alert.
In their live broadcast, announcements were then made about a “missile strike”, while they called on people to go to the shelters, to the sound of alarm sirens.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations announced at the time that this was the result of an attack by hackers on the media. Earlier on February 22, the residents of many Russian regions had heard a related announcement about a missile attack on their radios.
