The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, expressed concern about developments at the global and regional level, commenting on the decision of the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Everything changed last year on February 24th and today everything has been turned upside down. No one will back down, they will both play until the final destruction”, assessed Vucic, referring to the event. Speaking at a rally in the town of Sremska Mitrovica, the Serbian president expressed fears that “the world is very close to World War III” and asked: “Is there anyone sane in this world to stop this madness?”

Aleksandar Vucic expressed the opinion that the development with the issuance of an arrest warrant for Putin will also affect the attitude of Western countries towards Serbia.

It is now certain that the world is sliding towards an escalation of conflict. We must show responsibility and seriousness because the West will now put additional pressure on all those who until now have not taken a hard line against Russia“, assessed Aleksandar Vucic.
