Even Mickey Mouse did not save her from the coronavirus. According to Walt Disney Co., the Disneyland theme park in Hong Kong will be closed from January 7 to 20, as the number of coronavirus cases in the city is increasing.
The Hong Kong government announced on Wednesday the tightening of certain restrictive measures, including the banning of some incoming flights, as the authorities fear a fifth wave of the pandemic.
The countries covered by the arrival ban are France, Canada, Britain, the United States, India, Pakistan, Australia and the Philippines. The measures are valid from January 8 for two weeks.
The theme park was already scheduled to close on January 6 under current restrictions.
Among the new measures is the cancellation of all major events from January 7 to 20, while, from Friday, they will suspend their operation -among other things- gyms, bars, nightclubs, karaoke bars, beauty salons. Moreover, at 18:00 the interiors of the restaurants will be closed, while the number of people allowed at each table will be reduced.
Also, the operation of the schools is currently suspended.
