Nine people were killed from the conflict of two Black Hawk helicopters of the US Army during a training mission in Kentucky late Wednesday night, according to the Washington Post.

The two HH-60 Black Hawks of the 101st Airborne Division crashed around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night (05:00 today Thursday, Greek time) in Trigg County, Kentucky, a Fort Campbell military public relations officer said earlier. He did not specify the number of victims.

“We have some bad news out of Fort Campbell, with initial reports of a helicopter crash and casualties expected,” Gov. Andy Beshear said in a tweet.

The HH-60 is a variant of the Black Hawk helicopter that provides air support for various military operations, including air strikes and casualty transport.
