Former US President Donald Trump is on his way to New York as the clock ticks down to his formal indictment in the case of porn star Stormy Daniels.

A motorcade left the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida for Palm Beach International Airport. The former president then boarded his private jet, a Boeing 757 for LaGuardia Airport in New York.

A fleet of black Secret Service SUVs and other vehicles left the resort’s gates shortly after 12:15 p.m. (local time) headed for the airport.

Trump is expected to land shortly after 3pm (local time) and will likely head directly to his Trump Tower residence in Manhattan.

A stern warning from the mayor of New York

Meanwhile, officials in New York briefed reporters on security arrangements for Donald Trump’s court appearance tomorrow, including a stern warning to Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green.

The Georgia politician, one of the former president’s staunchest supporters, said she would join the New York caucus in a “peaceful protest” in Manhattan. However, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, sensing the potential for protests to turn violent, warned Taylor Green, who called for the arrest of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
