BAM FC continues its resounding presence – on and off the pitches – in the Macedonian League.
The team that became an Internet phenomenon, after gaining a loyal following since its inception, went ahead with a great initiative: It donated defibrillators to the stadiums in the league that did not have them, in order to continue to continue to operate.
BAM FC was founded eight months ago by two Youtubers, “Karpouzis” (Haris Milionis) and “Madney” (Haris Tassos), who through YouTube videos capture the great moments of the team inside and outside the playing fields. Their online presence is so strong, with each video garnering over 150,000 views.
On the occasion of the unpleasant news of the sudden death of an athlete from Karditsa, the EPO announced that all sports facilities are required to have a defibrillator, otherwise a game cannot be held.
BAM FC took the initiative to help by donating defibrillators to the stadiums of EPS Macedonia that did not have them.
This initiative was supported by the team’s major sponsor, Betsson, who made available 5 defibrillators that were given to 5 different stadiums. Also, ERIMA gave 3 defibrillators to EPSM to be provided directly where there is a need and it has not been covered, as well as the friend of the team founders Stefanos Softsis founder of “Hackney Clothing”, who recently opened his new company “Sofchi” offered a defibrillator.
In total, 9 defibrillators were distributed in the stadiums of Thessaloniki as well as the EPSM, which have fully covered the existing needs, with the total value of the donation exceeding 8,000 euros.
