Turkish-made high-resolution observation satellite IMECE launched from California’s Vandenberg Space Base
Turkey successfully launched its first IMECE high-resolution observation satellite into space today
According to Anadolu, the Turkish-made satellite was launched early Saturday from the Vandenberg Space Base in the US state of California.
IMECE was carried into space and launched into orbit on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, after two delays due to weather.

The launch of the satellite marks the first time that Turkey will have an electro-optical satellite camera with submeter resolution in orbit.
The will be able to take pictures from any part of the planet, reports the agency.
