More than 2,200 people will attend his coronation King Charles Buckingham Palace announced today. These include international representatives from 203 countries, as well as community and charity workers.

Charles, who became monarch of the United Kingdom and the remaining 14 Commonwealth nations (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize and St. Kitts) following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth in September, is to be officially crowned on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London in a ceremony full of luxury, symbolism and religious significance.

The service at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May will also be attended by Nobel Prize winners, religious representatives, heads of state and foreign ministers, the Palace.

In addition to these invitees, 400 young people representing charities will attend the coronation ceremony and processions through the Church of St. Margaret, next to the Avaio.
