Multiple people have been killed and dozens injured in vehicle crashes along Interstate 55 in southern Illinois amid a windstorm, state police said.
About 40 to 60 passenger cars and several trucks were involved in the crash, which happened shortly after 11 a.m. (local time), an Illinois State Police spokesman said.
