Pentagon calls Moscow’s claim that the United States is behind the alleged drone attack in the Kremlin.

In fact, the Pentagon spokesman accused Vladimir Putin’s representative, Dmitry Peskov, that he lied. “I would tell you that Mr. (Dmitry) Peskov is lying. I mean, it’s obviously a ridiculous claim. The United States had nothing to do with it. We don’t even know what happened here,” said John Kirby, the National Security Council’s coordinator for strategic communications. “But I can assure you that the United States had no role in this,” he added, according to CNN.

“The White House still has no indication of who was behind the drone attack,” the US official clarified, and said the White House “does not support, does not encourage, attacks on individual leaders’.

Russia accused Washington of being behind a drone attack on the Kremlin and an assassination attempt against Putin, in the latest of Wednesday’s allegations. “We know very well that decisions about such actions and such terrorist attacks are not made in Kiev, but in Washington. And Kiev is already doing what it is told to do,” the Kremlin spokesman asserted Dmitry Peskovwithout providing any evidence.
