For risk of provocation and deviants when the opposition alliance wins the elections, on the night of May 14, warned opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu, calling Tayyip Erdogan “dictator”, as reported by SKAI’s Istanbul correspondent Manolis Kostidis.

If Erdogan loses, will he hand over power? This question, which has been asked for a long time, was rekindled after the statements of the minister of the interior Suleiman Soylu that if Kilicdaroglu wins the May 14 election, “it will be considered a coup”. Soylu was also supported by the Turkish president’s chief legal adviser, Mehmet Utsum.

Kilicdaroglu’s reaction

“The proof that the state is ruled by one person… How “I do anything, I decide”. I vote, if I turn out fine, but if I lose then this is a “coup”. There is this logic. Of course, as we know from history, this is the classic logic of a dictator” the president of the Republican People’s Party strongly reacted.

“On election night when we win. no one should go out into the streets… They should not celebrate. Everyone should stay at home. After all, when dawn comes the results will become clear and the Supreme Electoral Council will be forced to give the results. Because if they go out for celebrations, there might be provocations, provocations, armed actors might take to the streets. So we have to create an environment where we won’t allow that to happen.” warned Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

The opposition leader also responded to Erdogan’s criticisms for onions and potatoes. “They say to me, ‘Why are you dealing with potatoes and onions? Why are you doing politics with these issues… But what do they say! The housewife goes shopping and sees that the onion has reached 30 pounds per kilo. You know what’s going on in the kitchen and in the household. The kitchen is on fire! You (Erdogan) are sitting in the palace enjoying yourself. You live in luxury and comfort.”
