The first result assessment in the state elections in Bremen shows a victory for the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and personally for the mayor Andreas Boffensulte. Big losses are recorded for the Greens and the Christian Democratic Party (CDU), which loses first place.

According to the first channel of the German public television ARD, the SPD secures 29.5%, strengthening its forces by 3.6 points from the 2019 elections. The CDU, the first party in 2019 with 26.7%, today receives 25 .5% and remains in second place, while the Greens suffer significant losses, being reduced to 12.5%, from 17.4% in 2019. The Left is at 10.5% (11.3%), the populists Angry Citizens (BIW) records an impressive rise from 2.4% to 10.5%, capitalizing on the exclusion of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) from the election on formal grounds, and the Liberals (FDP) are marginally above the electoral threshold, with 5.5% (5.9%).

In 2019, the CDU, despite winning the elections, failed to form a government coalition, which the SPD achieved, together with the Greens and the Left. However, the mayor had avoided pre-election to commit to the continuation of the government scheme, which he did even after the announcement of the first results.
