Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle was honored with the “Woman of Vision” award at a glittering event by Ms. Foundation for Women in New York. Accompanied by two special guests, her husband Prince Harry, and her mother, Doria Ragland (Doria Ragland), the Duchess of Sussex received from the hands of her friend and founding member of the organization Gloria Steinem the prize for defending women and girls.

During her acceptance speech, Meghan thanked Steinem “for being an inspiration, for your guidance, your wise counsel, your incredibly cheeky sense of humor and your incredible friendship.”

She also sent an inspirational message urging women to “become visionaries of your own life.”

“You can blaze a trail in which whatever you repeat in your daily acts of service, with kindness, advocacy, bravery, and justice, become the very things that will be recognized by the next wave of women who will also choose to join the movement and it makes our vision of a just world a reality,” Markle added, according to the video shared by author Emily Burack.

According to Dailymail, the duchess chose to wear a gold Johanna Ortiz dress worth $1,850 and paired it with gold Tom Ford sandals and a matching Carolina Herrera clutch.
