Serbia: Vuτςi Αι Tips for Denying Djokovi να Vaccination

by

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic slammed Novak Djokovic in an interview with Serbian public television (RTS). After saying that he knew the Serbian tennis player personally and that they used the singular in their communication, he actually criticized Djokovic for refusing to be vaccinated.

“I think it is necessary for all people to be vaccinated, I have been vaccinated three times and I will be vaccinated a fourth time. I do not think it is quite responsible not to get vaccinated, but I do not belong to those people who will start a hunt against those who are not vaccinated because in that I find our own guilt. “We allowed social networks to impose some absurd issues on us, which we could not fight,” Vucic told Novak Djokovic. He stressed that the political authorities have an obligation to help the citizens of Serbia when they have a problem abroad. “Our job is to help the people of Serbia, I am proud that with our involvement we were able to help one of the best athletes of all time,” Aleksandar Vucic said in an interview with Serbian public television.

It is noted that the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, in an interview given yesterday, Wednesday, on a foreign television network, referred to the violation of the quarantine by Novak Djokovic during his illness with coronavirus. “If it is found that Djokovic has violated the Serbian rules of isolation, he should explain it, I will consult the competent authorities and the health authorities that are responsible for the implementation of these regulations,” said Anna Brnabic.

Novak Djokovic presented a certificate of positive molecular test result for the coronavirus, issued by the Institute of Public Health of Serbia, on December 16, 2021. For the next two days, however, he made public appearances. In a post on the internet, the Serbian tennis player apologized for December 18th, when he was photographed for a French magazine, saying that he knew he was ill and attributed his behavior to recklessness. On December 17 – almost 24 hours after undergoing a molecular test – when he awarded prizes to teenage tennis players and posed for pictures with them, Djokovic claimed he did not know he was positive for the coronavirus. The Institute of Public Health has not yet responded to reporters’ requests for information when it informed Djokovic that it tested positive for Sars Cov-2. According to the practice followed when a molecular test is performed, the results are sent by email automatically, as soon as they are issued. The certificate presented by Djokovic states that the result was issued at 20: 19΄: 56΄΄ on December 16th.
